Ruby Peak: North Cascades Abandoned Trail

Last minute adventure trip to Ruby.  We were originally discussing climbing Ruth Mountain, which I had done a year prior near Mt Baker and Shuksan, but ultimately Ruby won.  Andy, Austin and I crushed this 18 mile day with perfect weather.

Retro'd out! Climbing up steep snow on Teshi Labpsha

What a country. I love India, I loved Nepal too, but India is definately ahead of the game. The airport in Delhi is nicer than anything I've ever seen in America. For sure. Although there are over a billion people, there is an ever increasing amount of educated, healthy and happy families arising all over the country. Our flight got cancelled to Leh the first day, so we had an extra day in downtown Delhi, wild place, and then successfully flew to this mountain paradise in Ladakh. Awesome. Weather is amazing, like late fall weather, spectacular mountains all around, what a wonderful place.

Phuket???

Nearing the completion of 7 days at a 5-star resort on Phuket island. Wow, it's been awesome, very secluded from the actual vibe of Phuket. Big waves on the ocean, we boogie boarded yesterday with 4-5 foot waves. Taylor and I have been cooking all our meals, very cheap and amazing, bought 50$ worth of groceries at the market and haven't spent a penny since. Tomorrow Kevin, Taylor and I head to Surat Thani and then take an over-night train to Bangkok. Kev and I leave the morning of the 17th for Kathmandu and Taylor will head north to Chiang Mai and then into Laos for 2 weeks before returning to America. Kev and I trek for 17 days in the remote region on Manang (we'll have no internet/power/phone) so ya'll will have to wait for photos and info after that. Anyways. my photos from the resort aren't really anything special so i"ll wait to add more. or you can check them out on Google Picassa.. Much love

Southern Thailand is winning beautiful islands award

creative recyling everywhere here in Asia. I think I will write a book about it
What a workout.
Plotting our attack on Nepal and India, Ko Lipe, Thailand
Good use of a puffer fish i guess? Certainly pulled the bathroom together

Treading through endless confusion and misinterpretation to get from Ko Tao (Turtle Island) to the Malaysian border down here at Ko Lipe and Ko Tarutao. But it was worth it. Our last day in the south, we have spent the past few kayaking to islands, snorkeling with incredibly clear water and crazy looking fish and now we sit in Ko Tarutao National park enjoying a full-day tropical thunderstorm. Very beautiful, pristine and relaxing down here. Tomorrow we head to Krabi to do some climbing and then 7 days in 5-star paradise at the JW Marriot in Phuket. Hooray! We are all still healthy and sane.
